Hotel Overview

The luxury Conrad Bali Resort & Spa is located on the southern coast of the island of Bali, conveniently situated only ten kilometres (6.5 miles) from the Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar) and next to Nusa Dua resort area. Secluded on 6.8 hectares of tropical gardens and lagoons with cascading waterfalls, the Resort is complete with a beautiful 300-metre beach.

Accommodation

The E-shape structure of the hotel, with three guest wings on four floors accommodating 313 guest rooms and suites, provides 85% of the guest rooms with an ocean view.The guest rooms are divided into three room categories based on: Deluxe Garden, Deluxe Ocean and Deluxe Lagoon, including 48 connecting rooms and two handicap rooms.

The Deluxe Garden rooms, totalling 26 rooms, are located in the South Wing on the 2nd and 3rd floors, close to the conference facilities.

The Deluxe Ocean rooms, totalling 255 rooms, are located in all wings, with three varieties of guest room configuration, all with ocean views.

The Deluxe Lagoon rooms, totalling 15 rooms, are on the ground floor with ocean views and direct access from the guest room balcony steps directly to the lagoon pool.

All guest rooms are a spacious 45 square metres (484 square feet), plus the terraces or balconies are designed to maximise the view over the beach and the Indian Ocean.

The guest room design is contemporary with features and artwork including tribal works. Guest room floors are either marble (light cream from Ujung Pandang, Celebes, Sulawesi) or wood (Bangkirai-Indonesia hardwood from Borneo). Roof tiles are terracotta and handrails are coconut timber. Bathroom fixtures are by Vola from Denmark - normally used in residential and boutique projects. The bathtub is by Bette Starlet from Germany and its symmetrical shape is designed for a relaxing soak. Deluxe bathroom amenities include thick, absorbent towels, make-up / shaving mirror, hairdryer, 100% cotton yukatas and slippers and a collection of superior-quality Conrad Bali amenities.

Each room has individually controlled air conditioning and ceiling fans, remote-control television with satellite channels, telephones with dedicated data line, broadband Internet access and voicemail, personal bar, coffee and tea making facilities and a personal safe.

Conrad Club Room

Club Lounge
Exclusively for Conrad Club guests, the Club Lounge offers extra privacy and personal attention and includes breakfast, evening cocktails and other complimentary services.

Suites
The Conrad Bali Resort & Spa has in total 15 suites including six Ocean Suites, three Spa Suites, three Lagoon Suites, one Deluxe Spa Suite, one Deluxe Lagoon Suite and a Presidential Suite.

Ocean Suites, Spa Suites and Lagoon Suites are 90 square metres (969 square feet) and include a separate bedroom and lounge with dining area. The Deluxe Spa Suite and Deluxe Ocean Suite are 135 square metres (1453 square feet).

All suites are located facing the Indian Ocean and offer a picturesque view of Nusa Penida Island. The private patio or balcony offers the opportunity to dine or simply relax. Lagoon Suites have access to the lagoon from the terrace. All suites have an option to include a second bedroom. The 2500-square-foot Presidential Suite, on the top floor, has a sun deck and outdoor jacuzzi. Suites feature a 42" plasma TV as well as a CD player. DVD player is available upon request.

Eight Degrees South

Befitting its name as Bali is located eight degrees south of the equator, Eight Degrees South is an open-air, beach-side restaurant with alang-alang bales (Balinese-style, thatched-roof gazebos) and a central, open kitchen. The restaurant offers lunches that include delicious BBQ grill cuisine and a variety of salads, gourmet pizzas, sandwiches and Asian specialties. In the evening, the sea breeze creates a romantic ambience with a menu to match.

Spice

Spice is a world of its own, devoted to culinary pleasure. Located on the 3rd floor, with breathtaking views of the Balinese water garden and the Indian Ocean. The restaurant, with its understated, traditionally inspired interior decor, offers fresh ingredients meticulously prepared and presented, for a distinctive gourmet experience. The restaurant is open for dinner. Private rooms are also available. Smart casual attire is recommended.

Azure

Located next to the lagoon pool, Azure offers a simple, fresh selection of sandwiches, crisp salads, hamburgers, Asian specialities and tropical fruits served with a selection of soft drinks, fresh juices, exotic tropical cocktails and ice-cold drinks.

East

This Lobby Lounge is located on the 3rd level, facing east with a spectacular view over the beach and bay towards Nusa Penida Island, and is the perfect place for a rendezvous. East is decorated with art-deco overtones, combined with a spectrum of earth tones and a rich, wood ceiling set against dramatic, patterned fabrics and carpet. An innovative snack menu, fresh-from-the-bakery pastries and delicious cakes are complemented with selected wines, premium coffees and a vodka bar.

Conference Centre
The Resort offers the ideal venue for all occasions, from international conferences to intimate parties. The 531 square metre (5723 square feet) Ballroom, with its own entrance, accommodates up to 650 guests for cocktails and can be divided into two separate rooms. Six additional meeting rooms and boardrooms are available. Private outdoor areas are available for gatherings beneath the stars. Innovative and creative theme parties can be tailor-made, from spectacular gala events to informal affairs.

Spa and Wellness
Jiwa Spa, the spa at the Conrad Bali Resort & Spa provides aromatherapy treatments that awaken and indulge the five basic senses to bring joy to the jiwa or soul.

Located in a secluded compound at the north wing of the resort, Jiwa Spa features 12 treatment rooms and suites as well as changing rooms, a reflexology lounge, sauna, steam and therapeutic pool, a salon and a retail area. The emphasis of the facility is on water and garden-based aromatherapy treatments, with a selection that incorporates ancient Indonesian traditions and rituals. A complete selection of beauty services includes hair care, facials, manicures and pedicures. To complement the treatments, a choice of spa healthy cuisines is also available.

For children of eight years of age and above, a special spa menu can be custom-designed so children and parents can enjoy the spa adventure together. The varied treatments available include a 30-minute massage, foot bath and mask, coconut-tangerine hair cream wash and a special children's 1000 Bubbles bath play menu with tempting flavours such as Double Chocolate Fudge, Banana Split and Milk Bath.

Recreation
The Conrad Bali Resort & Spa faces east towards Nusa Penida Island and so benefits from the sun at sunrise rather than sunset, thereby allowing early-morning tans and shaded afternoon rests alone on the 300-metre beach.

Off the beach, the protected shallow bay offers a safe swimming area, and there is a large range of water sports, including fishing in Bali's seas on a 32-foot or 24-foot cruiser, waterskiing, windsurfing, even cycling in water. Or spend the day snorkelling or zooming about in a speedboat around Tanjung Benoa.

There are lots of swimming options in either the lagoons or the 33-metre main swimming pool, or guests can choose to relax and simply sunbathe, take leisurely swims and sip on fresh fruit juices or cocktails all day. Two floodlit tennis courts and a fully equipped Fitness Centre are also available. Daily activities such as yoga and aerobics classes are organised each day.

Children's Facilities
Kura-Kura Club or Turtle Club is a supervised children's activity programme and an ideal club for children who want to spend fun-filled hours enjoying cultural activities and sports designed specially for them. Young guests simply need to sign-in to join all the organised programmes, use the children's facilities, located near the beach, and access the Games Room (with various games including pool, computer games, etc).

Library
The Library accommodates guests with late flight departures or early-morning arrivals. Complete with newspapers, magazines and books, the Library is a haven for all those interested in the archipelago's rich history, spirituality, geography, arts and crafts.
